Cuspal Sub-Lords and Event Promise
A cusp's sub-lord
The cuspal sub-lord is the planet ruling the unequal sub containing a house cusp. It need not occupy that house. Its stellar and house connections are examined for the topic associated with the cusp.
For a marriage question, the seventh cusp commonly provides the primary anchor. Professional questions often involve the tenth, and property questions the fourth. Supporting houses describe the other components of the defined event.
Event promise
Promise is the traditional term for whether the adopted rule indicates support for an event. The analysis records the cuspal sub-lord, its star lord and the relevant occupied, owned and represented house relationships.
The commonly used marriage grouping is 2, 7 and 11. Connections to that grouping are considered in conjunction with any competing links and the selected interpretive conditions. A simple list of supporting numbers does not explain the entire conclusion.
Promise and timing
A supportive cuspal interpretation and a proposed event period answer different questions. Timing is assessed through eligible period combinations and, where used, transits. Attractive transit positions should not silently replace the earlier cuspal analysis.
The final description can reflect support, opposition or mixed indications. Promise describes a judgment within the astrological framework; it is not a guarantee about the observed outcome.
