Rahu and Ketu
Lunar nodes in KP
Rahu and Ketu are the lunar-node points. They have their own zodiac positions and house occupation but do not own signs in the standard nine-lord ownership scheme. Their importance in KP comes partly from their representation of other planets.
Representative relationships
A node can be connected with its star lord, sign lord, conjoined planets and aspecting planets under an adopted convention. The priority among these relationships differs in published approaches. A complete interpretation names the represented planet, the relation and its relevant houses rather than relying on one fixed keyword.
For example, Rahu in a Mercury-ruled star and Venus-ruled sign, conjoined with Saturn under a specified orb, has several identifiable connections. Its own occupied house remains separate from those representative paths.
Contextual interpretation
Foreign settings, unfamiliar circumstances or unconventional activity are common node descriptions. They do not replace the house connections needed for travel, employment or a financial question. A node's broad representation does not make it universally stronger or guarantee an unusually large gain.
Mean and true nodes
The selected node convention should be recorded. Mean-node motion is normally retrograde; a true-node calculation can show brief direct motion. Differences between node positions can affect a stellar boundary, so the convention matters when comparing charts.
