Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between KP and a general sign reading

KP examines actual cusps, star and sub-lords, house significators and planetary periods. A general sign reading supplies broad descriptions; it does not contain those chart-specific relationships.

Do elements and modes determine an event

They provide traditional descriptive context. They do not replace cuspal sub-lords, event-related houses and the chosen timing procedure.

Why are there 249 horary numbers

The 243 nakshatra subs are split where six cross sign boundaries, creating 249 sign–star–sub entries. The entries are unequal; they are not 249 equal parts of the circle.

Can a horary number replace all birth or inquiry data

It can identify the conventional ascendant entry for a horary question, but planetary positions still require a specified moment. The chart construction also depends on the location and adopted settings.

Is Capricorn an earth sign or an aquatic sign

It is earth by element. Its second half is aquatic in the classical structural scheme. Element, mode and morphology classify different things.

Why can two programs show different sub-lords

Input time, time-zone conversion, coordinates, ayanamsa, ephemeris, node setting and rounding can differ. Near a boundary even a small difference can change the label.

Is the four-grade hierarchy the same as Four-Step Theory

No. The A–D hierarchy grades relationships to a target house. Four-Step Theory is a named later approach considering a sequence of planetary relationships with additional conditions.

Does a fine sub-sub division guarantee exact timing

It supplies a finer coordinate division. Reliable input, a defined rule and evaluation remain necessary; finer resolution alone does not establish an exact event date.
