Traditional Health Interpretation

The historical subject

Traditional medical astrology discusses house connections associated with the body, illness, disruption, confinement and relief. In KP these discussions use cuspal sub-lords, significators and planetary periods within an adopted interpretive convention.

Common reference combinations include 6, 8 and 12 for illness-related circumstances and 1, 5 and 11 for recovery-related discussion. These are historical astrological groupings, not clinical diagnostic criteria or guarantees of cure.

Elements modes and morphology

Elements and sign modes appear in traditional descriptions of activity, continuity and change. Structural classifications refer to a zodiac symbol's limbs. They do not diagnose inflammation, chronic disease, infection or an injury in the corresponding part of a person's body.

The body-region correspondences found in classical astrology belong to a separate symbolic scheme. A two-footed or four-footed sign does not describe the literal anatomy of the person.

Interpretation and healthcare

Clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and medical timing require qualified healthcare. An astrological interpretation does not justify delaying investigation, stopping medication or overriding a clinician's advice.

Historical cases are more informative when they disclose what was already known, which rule was applied and whether the analysis preceded the result. A retrospective resemblance does not establish clinical predictive accuracy.
