Retrogression and Special Conditions
Different kinds of retrograde conditions
A planet's own apparent retrograde motion differs from being in the star or sub of a retrograde planet. Motion at birth, at inquiry and during a proposed event interval are also distinct facts. These should be recorded separately.
Natal and horary interpretation
Some horary rules restrict a significator in a retrograde star or postpone the matter until a relevant planet turns direct. Different authors use different exclusions and distinguish delay from denial in different ways. Such rules should not be stated as a universal paralysis of every planet in every natal chart.
Punarphoo
Punarphoo is traditionally discussed in relation to specified Saturn–Moon connections and interpretations of delay or repetition. Definitions vary by author. A general Saturn–Moon association alone is not a complete statement of the qualifying rule or its effect.
Aspects and conjunctions
An aspect or conjunction requires a defined geometric relation and orb. Classical conditions such as combustion, exaltation and debilitation can appear in comparative descriptions. Their effect on a KP analysis depends on the named procedure rather than a silent override.
Mixed indications
Supporting and opposing house links can coexist. A transparent interpretation records both, identifies the adopted priority and states unresolved conflict. Selecting only the favourable relations does not resolve a mixed chart.
